3 C flour
2 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 C (1 1/2 stick) butter, softened
3/4 C brown sugar
1/2 C molasses
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 C sugar - for rolling
60 White & milk chocolate swirled kisses

Directions:

Combine dry ingredients in bowl and set aside. Beat butter & brown sugar until fluffy. Add molasses, egg & vanilla and mix well. Gradually add flour mixture. Press dough in thick, flat disk and wrap in plastic wrap.
Refrigerate at least 4 hours. Shape into 1 inch balls and roll in sugar. Bake on ungreased baking sheet 8 - 10 min. at 350º. Do not over bake. Press chocolate kisses in center, then remove to cooling rack.
