!/2 lb bacon slices, cut into thirds
1 tsp salt, or to taste
1 tsp ground black pepper, or to taste
1 head cabbage, cored and sliced
1 white onion, chopped
1 tsp minced garlic
pinch white sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Fry bacon in large pot until crispy, remove and set aside, retaining bacon grease in pot. Add remaining ingredients, cooking in covered pot over medium heat until tender, about 10-15 min., stirring occasionally. Remove cover, add crispy bacon, stir well and serve. Enjoy!
