2 cups cooked, drained and mashed yellow squash
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup onion, diced
1 large egg, beaten
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 cup melted butter
3/4 cup shredded cheddar
1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
2 T. additional butter

Directions:
Directions:
Grease a 1 1/2 quart casserole. Heat oven to 350º. Mix squash, mayonnaise, onion, egg, 2 T melted butter and 1/2 cup cheddar. Spoon into casserole. Top with 1/4 cup cheese. Toss bread crumbs with additional butter. Spread over casserole. Bake 30 minutes.
