Ingredients: Spaghetti Sauce: 5 large tins tomato juice 2 large tins crushed Italian tomatoes 2 large tins tomato paste 1/2 tsp. oregano 1/8 tsp. nutmeg 1 green pepper, chopped 6 large onions, chopped 1 tsp. crushed chilies 1/2 tsp. basil
Meatballs: 2 lb. lean ground beef 1 lb. ground pork 1/2 green pepper, chopped 2 eggs 2 small onions, chopped milk (approximately 1/2 c.) 1 c. bread crumbs

Directions:Spaghetti Sauce: 1. Grind onions & green pepper in blender 2. Spray large pan with cooking oil on bottom 3. Add all ingredients 4. Bring to a boil & reduce heat 5. Simmer for 4 hours to thicken
Meatballs: 1. Grind onions & green pepper in blender 2. Mix all ingredients in large bowl 3. Mix well to form meatballs 4. Add to sauce and simmer about 1 hour
Note. You can freeze the spaghetti sauce in small containers and meatballs separately. |

Notes: The spaghetti sauce recipe came from Great Grandma Burgess. The meatballs came from Great Grandma Campbell. This makes a lot of sauce, but recipe can be cut in half if desired.
