1 cup raisins (boiled, save water from raisins for later)
1 cup sugar
½ cup butter
½ cup lard (scant)
5 TBsp water (water from the boiled raisins)
2 well beaten eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 cups oatmeal
2 cups flour
Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs. Add sugar, butter, lard, water. Mix together.
Mix together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg
Add dry ingredients to the egg mixture.
Lastly add oatmeal and raisins
Make double batch for 60-65 cookies
Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
