1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup confectioners sugar
2/3 cup evaporated milk
3 squares bitter chocolate

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter and sugar in top of the double boiler, add evaporated milk and chocolate and cook over hot water for 30 minutes. Don't stir while cooking. Remove from heat and beat by hand. You may store in refrigerator and reheat as needed. If you wish for a thinner sauce add cream, but don't add water. Will keep six weeks in refrigerator at home. Makes one and a half pints.

This taste very good on ice cream. I have even added peanut butter to it when it is hot to put on ice cream.
