3 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt

Cream shortening until soft and sugars slowly and cream together until light and fluffy add eggs and vanilla and beat until well blended sift together flour baking powder and salt stare into creamed mixture mix until well blended divide dough in half shape each half into a roll about 3 inches in diameter wrap in waxed paper chill several hours or overnight slice rolls Place on greased baking sheet
