1/4 c butter or margarine
1 tbsp. liquid honey
1/4 c chopped dates
1/4 c raisins
1/4 c chopped candied cherries
2 tbsp. sliced almonds
2 1/2 c corn flakes crushed to 1 c crumbs
3/4 c semi-sweet chocolate chips
sliced almonds (optional)

Melt butter and honey in a saucepan over medium heat. Add dates and cook 3 to 4 min or until mixture is thoroughly combined and thickened. Remove from heat and stir in raisins, cherries, almonds and crushed corn flakes. Press into a buttered 8" square baking pan. Chill. Melt chocolate in a saucepan over low heat. Pour over fruit-nut mixture and spread evenly. Sprinkle with extra sliced almonds if desired. Chill until set.
