3 beaten eggs
2 cups soft bread crumbs (about 3 slices)
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup shredded carrot
3 lbs. ground beef

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first 5 ingredients and 1 teaspoon salt.
Mix in ground beef.
Cook half of the mixture at a time until lightly browned and still moist.
Cool quickly. Seal in 2-cup portion freezer containers.
Label, date and freeze.
To thaw in skillet, add 1/4 cup of water to 2 cups of mixture.
Cook over low heat 15-20 minutes.
Substitute 2 cups mixture for 1 lb. browned ground beef.
Use in a recipe anytime you need ground beef, such as, casseroles, spaghetti, etc.
