3/4 to 1 lb. ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onions (More Or less)
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup ketchup
1 Tbsp. mustard
2 large cans of pork and beans
1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Combine chopped onions with crumbled ground beef.
Brown in a skillet and drain.
Combine with remaining ingredients.
May add uncooked bacon across top of beans prior to baking, if desired.
Pour into a baking dish and bake for 45 min. at 350 º.

Baked beans with the added ground beef becomes a main dish that always received compliments. I found the recipe in an old church cookbook.

(Onions are optional or just use less. Some people use a mixture of chopped onions and peppers. I like to buy bagged chopped onions/peppers from the frozen food isle. )
