3 qts. water
1 qt. vinegar
1 large cup salt
cucumbers or carrots
dill

Directions:
Wash cucumbers. Lay in cold water over night. In morning pack in jars with dill to suit your taste. To make brine: add 3 qt. water to 1 quart vinegar, add 1 large cup salt, boil together. While hot, cover pickles and seal.

This is Mark's mom (Erna) recipe she used a lot & also said that the dill carrots work great with this recipe also. Mark's mom loved her garden & enjoyed eating the produce from it!
