Meatballs:
1 clove of garlic, quartered
2 lb. lean ground beef
1 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
3 tbsp. butter
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. bread crumbs
1/2 tsp. mace or celery seed

Sauce:
1 tbsp. butter
1 c. ketchup
1 beef cube
1/4 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. dry mustard
3/4 c. chopped onion
1 c. boiling water
1/2 c. molasses
2/3 c. vinegar
1/2 tsp. pepper

Meatballs:
1. Mix all ingredients together, except for garlic & butter
2. Form meatballs
3. Saute garlic in butter
4. Brown meatballs

Sauce:
1. Saute onion in butter
2. Dissolve beef cube in boiling water & stir into butter
3. Add remaining ingredients
4. Cover & simmer for 20 minutes
5. Add to meatballs & simmer for 1 hour
6. You may freeze sauce and meatballs separately
