1 stick butter, 2 c. chopped celery
2 c. chopped
12 c. bread cubes ( about 1 loaf)
1 tsp. poultry seasoning
1 tsp salt, 1 tsp pepper
2 tbsp. parsley, 1 cup applesauce
2 c. chicken broth, 2 eggs, beaten
1 cup Craisins, candied walnuts or pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Sauté together the stick of butter, celery and onion.
Combine in a bowl the bread cubes, poultry seasoning, salt, pepper, and parsley. Add sautéed veggies and toss lightly.
Add applesauce and chicken broth. Add the eggs.

Place in a crock pot and cook on high 45 minutes or low 2-4 hours.

Fold in Craisins and sprinkle with candied walnuts or pecans just before serving.

Candied nuts:
Heat 2 tbsp. butter in a skillet. Add 1/2 c. chopped nuts, stir until lightly toasted. with a slotted spoon, remove from skillet to a small bowl. Add 1 tbsp. of honey and dash of nutmeg.
