1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg yolk
2 cups flour
1/4 tsp. vanilla
pinch salt
6 Hershey bars

Mix & pat everything except for the Hershey bars into a 9x12 baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes @ 350º. I don't let the crust get to done I take it our before its actually done, than place 6 Hershey bars on top, place back in oven for just a couple of seconds, you don't want the Hershey bars to get to hard, you want them just slightly melted, then spread the Hershey bars on the crust. After you have spread the Hershey bars then you can sprinkle nuts over the chocolate (optional)

This recipe is originally my mom Shirley recipe & thru the years Becky & I loved it so much, that we made it quite regularly! My problem with these bars are that I could actually finish the whole pan!

Someone made this for a party at school and they got so hard they were playing catch with them.
