Ingredients:
Ingredients:
6 qts. popped corn (pour into large roaster)
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine
1/2 cup white corn syrup
1 tsp. salt
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
In a large saucepan combine butter, white corn syrup, salt and brown sugar. Bring ingredients to a full boil, stirring constantly, and boil for 5 minutes without stirring. Remove from heat & add baking soda and vanilla.

When you add the above and stir the mixture it will swell which is why you need to make sure your kettle is oversized. Mix it thoroughly. Gradually pour over the popped corn in the roaster and stir it over the popcorn. Bake uncovered, in a 250º oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool & break apart and it's ready to eat.

Note: may add peanuts before baking.

Personal Notes:
Bonnie Trom babysat for the girls when they were little & for Halloween they always made these popcorn balls for all the kids she babysat for when they came over for trick or treating.
