1 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups flour
1 T. sugar
1 teaspoon salt
dash nutmeg
juice of 1/2 lemon
1 egg
about 2/3 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cut shortening into flour, salt, sugar and nutmeg until it is in lima bean size pieces. Add juice of 1/2 lemon. In a measuring cup, break egg and add enough milk to make 2/3 cup. Beat with fork and add enough of this mixture to hold dry ingredients together. Do not overmix. Roll out.
