1 c. oil
1 c. brown sugar
3 tsp. baking soda
1 c. white sugar
3 c. buttermilk
3 c. flour
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. salt
1 c. raisins (optional)
3 c. bran
3 tsp. baking powder

Directions:

1. Mix buttermilk with bran & let stand
2. Mix oil, eggs, & sugars
3. Add vanilla, baking soda, salt & raisins
4. Mix flour with baking powder
5. Mix bran mixture with liquid mixture
6. Quickly add flour mixture & mix by hand
7. Bake @ 350F for 25 minutes
8. Mixture can be stored in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks
