8 pears peeled and cut into chunks
1/2 c brown sugar
3T cornstarch
1 T cinnamon
2t mace
4T Sherry

Pie Crust

Directions:

Put pears in bowl toss with sherry.
Mix other ingredients in a small bowl.
Toss together pears and other ingredients
Place in pie shell
Bake at 350 for about an hour

Mary invented this pie filling when we wanted poached pears but let the pears get too ripe. She wanted the filling to taste like poached pears and it did. Christmas 2015.
