1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. margarine or butter
3 beaten eggs
1 small bottle maraschino cherries (drained)
1/2 c. cherry juice
1/2 c. milk
2 1/2 c.sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the sugar and butter. Add the beaten eggs
Sift the flour, salt and baking powder together. Beat cherry juice and milk alternately with the flour into the sugar, butter and eggs. Lightly dust the cherries and nuts lightly with flour and fold into mixture.
Put in 2 bread pans and bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes.
