1 c. Crisco shortening
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 t. vanilla
4 c. sifted flour
1/2 t. salt
1 t. baking soda
1 T. hot water

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar, add eggs; beat well. Add vanilla, gradually add sifted flour and salt. Mix together (large mixer recommended). Add baking soda and hot water together, then stir into dough. Chill.

Roll onto floured surface; cut into cookies. Place on baking sheet and bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
