14 eggs, separated
1 c sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cloves
1 oz cognac
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp nutmeg
1 lb chopped walnuts
12 ground Zwieback (or its equivalent in dried cookies!)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream yolks and sugar in mixer for half hour till cream colored. Sift flour, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and baking soda in a separate bowl. Slowly add to yolk mixture. Add nuts, Zwieback, and cognac to creamed mixture. Gradually add dry ingredients. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites and baking powder
Turn into greased 12 x 15 baking pan and bake 350º
