2 cups chopped apples or pears
1-1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
1/4 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans, toasted (see tip, page 120)
1/4 cup raisins, snipped pitted whole dates, or dried tart cherries
1/4 c. cup seedless green grapes, halved (optional) nutmeg
1/2 c. mayonnaise or miracle whip.

Directions:
Directions:
In a bowl toss apples or pears with lemon juice. Stir in celery; nuts; raisins, dates, and grapes. Add marshmallows. Toss with mayonnaise or miracle whip. Chill before serving.
