Chop up 1 large onion
Oil- 40 oz. (half vegetable oil)
2 sticks of butter/margarine

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter. Add to oil mixture. Fill jar to the top with extra virgin olive oil. Put butter & oil mixture in pot and put on stove on low until boil, sauté onions on low heat in pan with 1/3 cup oil mixture. Add Italian seasoning

Brown onions, do not burn! (1/2 hour - 45 minutes), set for 5 minutes in skillet with heat off. Add sautéed onions to pot. Cook and simmer for 5 minutes. Let cool.

Pierogies:
Fill pot with water, add oil so they do not stick, bring to a boil. Add pierogies & cook until they float (3-5minutes). Put oil mixture on bottom of casserole dish; add pierogies & oil mixture layer by layer
