2 pounds boneless round steak
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
2 tablespoons oil
1/3 cup soy sauce
1 large clove garlic, crushed
1 green pepper cut into strips *
1 red pepper cut into strips *
1 yellow onion sliced *
*substitute 1/2 package frozen peppers and onions

Directions:

Cut the round steak into serving size pieces and pound to 1/8-inch thickness. Combine the remaining sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Place the round steak in the slow cooker and pour sauce over all. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. Add peppers about half-way through if using fresh, an hour before serving if using frozen. Serve over rice.

I found this on-line and made an abbreviated recipe for Rob and me. We both liked it and it’s so easy. I plan to make it for New Year’s Eve 2008. 12/29/08
