Pint of red, ripe Strawberries
1/4 Cup Sugar
1/4 Cup Cointreau or Grand Marnier
Zest of Orange (Optional)
1/2 Cup heavy cream

Directions:
Directions:
Remove stems from strawberries. Rinse well and drain. Pat dry with paper towel.
Place berries in a bowl and add sugar and liqueur.
Using a potato peeler, cut around orange to produce very thin spirals.
Cover the bowl and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Whip cream and add 2 tablespoons of sugar. (I usually just use Kool Whip).
Place strawberries in dessert dishes and top with whipped cream

Another easy make-ahead recipe. This is a good dessert for a special meal and one of Grandpa’s favorites.
