Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 Sticks Butter, Softened
2 Cups All-purpose Flour
1/2 Cup Packed Light Brown Sugar
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
2 Cups (12-ounce Package) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels, Divided
1 1/4 cups (14-ounce Can) Sweetened Condensed Milk
1/2 Chopped Nuts (Optional)
1 Small Jar Seedless Raspberry Jam

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Beat butter in large mixer bowl until creamy. Beat in flour, sugar, and salt until well mixed (don’t beat beyond ‘crumby’ stage). With floured fingers, press 1 and three fourths cup of crumb mixture onto bottom of greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan, reserve remaining mixture. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.

Combine 1 cup morsels and sweetened condensed milk in small heavy-duty saucepan. Melt over low heat, stirring until smooth. Spread over hot crust.

Stir nuts into reserved crumb mixture, sprinkle over chocolate filling. Drop teaspoonfuls of raspberry jam over crumb mixture. Sprinkle with remaining morsels. Continue baking for 25 to 30 minutes or until center is set. Cool complete on wire rack. (Makes 3 dozen bars)

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Aunt Anne always brings these for Christmas and everyone loves them although they’re incredibly rich. The first time I tried them was for Christy’s play cast at Furman, then I made them for my friend Betty’s family when she was very ill, then for the crew at Camp Piomingo.

Some tips: I used mini-morsels for the topping; they seem to hold their shape better. Smuckers Simply Fruit is good although it doesn’t say seedless. I also microwaved the jam in the jar for 30 seconds or so, it made it easier to spread.
