1 10 ounce package frozen chopped spinach, thawed
1 1/2 cups dairy sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
1 package (1.4 oz.) Knorr vegetable soup mix
1 8 ounce can water chestnuts, finely chopped
3 green onions, finely chopped

Directions:

Squeeze spinach until dry. In medium bowl stir together spinach, sour cream, mayonnaise, soup mix, water chestnuts and green onion. Cover, refrigerate 2 hours. Makes 3 cups

You can serve this with chips or crackers but a real popular thing to do several years ago was to hollow out a round loaf of pumpernickel bread, cut the part you took out into cubes for dipping, fill the hollow with dip and place the cubes around it. I like spinach so this is one of my favorites but even non-spinach “likers” will enjoy it.
