Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 lb. ground meat (beef or turkey)
1 (16 oz.) Jimmy Dean country mild sausage roll
1 lb. smoked sausage, cubed
2 (16 oz.) cans chili beans
20-24 oz. tomato sauce (I use one 15 oz. can and one 8 oz. can)
1 tbsp. chili seasoning
¼ c. green bell pepper, diced
¼ c. onion, diced
1 tsp. brown sugar (I use Splenda brown sugar)
Crushed red pepper (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
In crockpot, add tomato sauce, chili beans and chili seasoning. Add a pinch of accent and tsp. of brown sugar. Stir until mixed together.

Brown and season ground meat and sausage roll with green peppers and onions. (I usually season meats with salt, pepper, accent, garlic powder, onion powder and smoked paprika.). Drain and add meats and veggies to tomato mixture in crockpot.

After mixing all ingredients together, cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-6 hours.

Add cubed smoked sausage to chili about an hour before chili is ready.

**You can add raw onions, shredded cheese and/or sour cream for extra creaminess and goodness when ready to serve.

Personal Notes:
My husband got this "meaty" recipe from one of the service members he worked with from Texas. He had a few other meats in his original recipe that we eliminated and added green peppers and onions as well as shredded cheese and made it our own.
