1 c milk
1 c water
3 tbsp. butter
5 c all purpose flour
1 pkg active dry yeast (1/4 oz)
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp. corn meal

Directions:
Directions:
Heat milk, water and butter to 120ºF. In large mixer bowl combine 3 c flour, yeast, sugar, salt and warmed mixture. Mix for 3 min. Gradually add remaining flour to form a stiff dough. Knead until smooth and satiny (about 4 min). Place dough in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top. Cover and let rise in a warm place 30 min. Punch down and turn out onto board sprinkled with corn meal. Roll dough 1/2" thick. Cut with a floured 3" round cookie cutter. Cover. Let rise 30 min. Preheat lightly buttered griddle or grill at medium low at 250ºF. Brown muffins, corn meal side down 12 to 15 min. Turn and bake 12 to 15 min longer. Cool on wire rack.
