1 onion, chopped
2 medium potatoes, diced
6-8 c. water
4 tsp. fresh minced garlic
1 tsp. ginger powder
2 tsp. sea salt
˝ tsp. paprika
˝ tsp. turmeric
2 Tbsp. homemade Garam Masala
6 c. fresh or frozen peas
1 sweet potato, baked
2 Tbsp. crushed tomatoes (opt.)

Directions:
Directions:
Cook all except last three ingredients together until potatoes are soft. Add peas and let cook about five minutes. Meanwhile, peel and puree a baked sweet potato with part of the broth and add to the soup at the end. Also add crushed tomato if desired. This soup tastes even better the next day.
