2 2/3 c. Sugar
2/3 c. Light corn syrup
1/2 c. Water
2 large egg whites whipped to stiff peaks
1 tsp. Vanilla
Walnuts or pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Stir sugar,syrup, and water in a deep pot. DO NOT stir while cooking to crackle stage when added to cold water. Slowly pour into whipu7ped egg whites while still beating. Add vanilla. Beat until just until it peaks again. QUICKLY spoon onto waxed paper. Top with a nut. This is the trickiest candy I make. You need to get a"feel" for how long to cook syrup mixture and how long to beat it after is been added to egg whites. Good luck and remember, it tastes good no matter what the texture is like.
