Cinnamon Kuchen Recipe

1 pkg yeast
1 egg
3/4 c milk
1/2 c sugar
pinch of salt
1/2 stick butter
2-3 c flour

Topping
1 1/4 stick butter (softened)
1 1/2 c sugar
3/4 to 1 c flour
1 1/2 T cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Mix topping ingredients with fingers until crumbly. (Add more flour if too sticky). Set aside.

Sift about 2 c flour in large bowl. Add yeast, 2 T sugar, pinch of salt and milk. Mix well. Cover and let rise 1/2 hour or longer.

Melt butter and add sugar. Add this and egg to flour mixture. Mix well.

Add extra flour until dough is thick. Cover and let rise 1/2 hour.

Knead and divide into 3 parts. Spread each in 8" pie pans (lightly coated with cooking spray). Let rise another 1/2 hour.

Sprinkle cinnamon topping on dough. Bake at 350º about 25 minutes.
