2 cups confectioner's powdered sugar
1 tbsp. butter, softened
2 tbsp. milk or other liquid
liquid flavoring to enhance the cookie, doughnut or cake

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the butter and powdered sugar in a bowl. Add milk to achieve the consistency you want for your icing. If it gets too thin, add more powdered sugar.

Other liquid flavors may be used in addition to or in place of the milk.

Use maple syrup for a great doughnut icing.

Be careful not to mix milk and orange juice together for your liquids since the milk will curdle.
