COWBOY COOKIES

2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. baking powder
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
2 cups rolled oats
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (12-oz) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350.
Mix together flour, baking soda, salt, and baking powder. Set aside.
Cream butter and sugars; add eggs. Beat until light and fluffy. Add flour mixture and mix well.
Add rolled oats, chocolate chips and vanilla. Mix.
Drop by heaping teaspoons on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 12 to 15 minutes.
Makes about 4 to 5 dozen cookies.
