1 c. whipping cream, chilled
1 tsp. salt or to taste

Add whipping cream and salt in a 1-quart jar. Shake the jar until butter starts to form. Dump the extra liquid off of butter. With clean hands, squeeze whey out of butter. Run butter under cold water and squeeze some more. Get as much liquid out of the butter as you can. Add more salt to taste by kneading it into the butter.
Place in small bowl and serve with homemade bread and jam!
