Dough:
1/2 c milk (heated - not boiled)
1/4 c butter
1/2 c warm water
1 package dry yeast
1/3 c sugar
2 L eggs
1/12 t salt
3/4 t almond extract
~ 3/4 c flour

Filling
1 c almond paste
2 L eggs
3 T soft butter
1 t vanilla

Topping:
sliced almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Add enough flour to be able to knead it. Knead for about 5 minutes.
Let raise 2 hours or overnight in the fridge. Dough should be doubled
in size before punching down.
Roll out 8 * 13
Spread filling over dough and roll up longways.
Pinch to seal the seams.
Chill roll about 1/2 hour
Slice into 12 pieces and place in round baking pan.
Raise 1 hour.
Sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
Bake at 350 degrees about 20 minutes. Top should be golden.
