1 1/2 Cup Milk
3 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup very warm butter
2 pkg. active dry yeast
2 eggs
7 cups unsifted flour
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 egg yolk
1 tbsp. sesame or poppy seeds

Directions:
Directions:
1. Scald milk; add sugar, salt and butter - cool to lukewarm
2. Sprinkle yeast over water in large bowl, add milk and mix
3. add eggs and half of the flour. beat with a wooden spoon until smooth - gradually add remaining flour
4. knead until smooth and elastic
5. plce in a lightly greased bowl, turn dough over to bring up greased side. Let rise in warm place until double - about 2 hours.
6. Divide in two halved - then braid each half, brush with butter and let rise until double again.
7. Brush with egg yolk and 2 tbsp. of water - sprinkle with seeds.
8. Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 400º
