1 cup shortening
2 eggs
3 cups sugar
1 large can of pumpkin puree
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. vanilla
5 cups flour
1 package of milk chocolate or semi sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening, eggs and sugar then add pumpkin, blend well and then add all spices and vanilla. Then beat in flour and then add chocolate chips. This makes a very large batch. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake on 375º for 12 minutes.
