3 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup flour
3/4 tsp. salt
7 cups whole milk
3 T. pure vanilla
6 eggs beaten
6 cups half and half

Directions:
Directions:
In a saucepan combine sugar, flour, salt, milk and vanilla. Cook over medium heat until thickened. Take one cup of the hot mixture and SLOWLY beat with a hand mixer it into the beaten eggs. When incorporated into eggs beat it back into the milk mixture and cook one more minute. Refrigerate until cool then add your half and half and blend well. Then pour into a six quart ice cream maker and follow ice cream maker instructions to churn ice cream. You can add peaches, strawberries or any flavor you would like to this ice cream mixture.
