1 1/3 cups Wesson oil
1 3/4 cups sugar
1 ounce red food color
2 eggs
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon vinegar
2 3/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together Wesson oil, sugar; add food color, eggs, lemon juice, and vinegar. Measure and sift together flour, soda, salt, and mix a little at a time alternately with buttermilk into creamed mixture.

Bake until done -- approximately 20 to 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Makes 3 layers.
