1 cup sugar
1 cup butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 egg
2 1/3 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
Colored sugars and sprinkles for decorating

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375º.

For No-Roll Cookies:
1. In large bowl, beat sugar and butter on low speed until light and fluffy.
2. Stir in vanilla, almond extract and egg,
3. Stir in flour and baking soda.
4. Shape dough by teaspoonfuls into balls. Flatten with bottom of glass glass dipped in sugar.
5. Bake 9 - 11 minutes.

For Rolled Cookies:
1. Use 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar instead of 1 cup sugar.
2. In large bowl, beat powdered sugar and butter on low speed until light and fluffy.
3. Stir in vanilla, almond extract and egg. Stir in flour and baking soda.
4. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
5. Divide dough in half. Roll each half 1/4 inch thick on lightly floured surface. Cut into desired shapes.
6. Sprinkle with sugars if not frosting cookies after cooked.
7. Place on un-greased cookie sheet and bake 7 - 8 minutes until light brown.
