2/3 c scalded milk
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp salt
3 tbsp. margarine
2 pkg yeast
1 c warm water
1 large egg
2 c wheat flour
4 c white flour
2 c grated carrot
/4 c chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, salt and margarine with the scalded milk. Cool to lukewarm. In a large bowl dissolve yeast in warm water. Add milk to yeast mixture along with egg, whole wheat flour and 1 c white bread flour. Mix until smooth. Add more white flour to make a soft dough. Knead on well floured board until smooth and elastic for 8 to 10 min. Place in greased bowl and turn to grease top. Cover and let rise for 1 hour. Punch down dough and divide in half. Shape into 2 loaves and place in greased 9"X5" loaf pans. Cover and let rise 1 hour. Bake in 375ºF oven for 35 to 40 min. Cool on wire rack.
