6 green peppers
1 lb ground beef
1 c cooked rice
1 (16 oz) can tomato sauce
2 tsp salt
1 clove mined garlic
2 tbsp. chopped onion
1 qt salted water
1 c grated cheddar cheese
1/2 tsp ground savory

Directions:
Directions:
Cut a slice in stem end of peppers. Remove seeds and thoroughly wash. Bring 3/4 c salted water per pepper to boil and add peppers and cook for 5 min. Remove peppers. Preheat oven 350ºF. Cook beef, garlic and onion in skillet until onion is tender. Drain off fat and stir in salt, rice and half the tomato sauce. Heat mixture. Remove from heat and add cheddar cheese. Stuff each pepper and stand upright in baking dish. Pour rest of tomato sauce over peppers and bake, covered 45 min. Uncover and bake 15 min.
