7 oz almond paste, at room temperature
1/2 cup coconut oil, softened
2/3 cup sugar - brown, maple or coconut or white
1/2 tsp almond extract
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup flour (if using gluten free flour, add zanium gum)
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup slivered almonds
2 to 3 tbsp. almond milk

Preheat oven to 325º. Line 8 inch square pan with parchment paper.
In food processor, pulse together almond paste and coconut oil. Once smooth, pulse in sugar. Transfer to large bowl and mix in extracts.
Mix in flour and baking powder. Dough should form a soft mass when pressed together.
Press into a pan, and baste with almond milk, and press slivered almonds on top.
Bake for 15-18 minutes. Do not overcook.
Let cool before serving.
