2 c sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
1 c softened butter
1/4 c brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 c chopped nuts (pecans are good!)
1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour once - add baking powder and salt and set aside.

Cream butter & sugar. Add egg, nuts and vanilla and beat well.

Add flour gradually until incorporated.

Shape into log and roll in waxed paper and chill overnight.

Cut in 1/8" slices and bake at 425º on ungreased pan for 9-12 minutes.
