1/2 c Crisco shortening
1/2 c brown sugar
1/4 c granulated sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 c all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 c chipits semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening, firmly packed brown sugar and granulated sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Gradually blend into creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and chopped nuts. Drop from small spoon onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake in 375ºF oven 10 to 12 min.
