1/2 cup butter
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 can pineapple slices
1 can crushed pineapple
8 maraschino cherries
1 box yellow cake mix

Directions:
Directions:
1. Grease slow cooker with crisco or butter.
2. Combine butter and brown sugar on bottom of slow cooker.
3. Arrange pineapple slices on top of butter/sugar mixture so that entire bottom is covered and place a cherry in the middle of each ring.
4. Prepare cake according to package directions, adding juice for some of the liquid and add about 1 cup or so of crushed pineapple into the batter. Pour batter into slow cooker over pineapple rings.
5. Cover slow cooker with 2 kitchen towels and then place lid on top. Cook on high for 1 hour then reduce to low (without lifting the lid) and cook for another 3-4 hours.
6. Allow to cool for 10 minutes. Run a knife around the inside of the slow cooker then turn the slow cooker upside down onto a large plate.
