1/2 c Raisins chopped fine
1/2 c Figs chopped fine
1/2 c Dates chopped fine
1/2 c Granulated Sugar
1/2 c Water
2 T Lemon Juice

1/2 c butter
1 c Sugar
2 Eggs
2 T Thick Cream
1 t Vanilla Extract
2 1/2 c Flour
1/4 t Baking Soda
1/2 t Salt

Directions:
Directions:
For filling: Cook first 6 ingredients together over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick (about 10 minutes) and cool.
For dough: Mix butter, sugar and eggs together. Stir in thick cream and vanilla. Sift together and stir in flour, soda and salt.
To make cookies: Preheat oven 400 F. Chill dough. Roll to 1/16" cut into 3" rounds, place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Top with one rounded spoonful of filling. Place another round on top and seal with fork or fingers. Bake 8-10 minutes.
