½ cup vegetable oil
1 cup brown or white sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten ½ cup milk
1 cup powdered sugar
1 1/2 - 2 cups whole wheat flour (or white)
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
½ cup finely chopped nuts
Grated rind & juice from 2 lemons

Directions:
Directions:
Cream oil and sugar together and add eggs. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt and grated lemon rind. Bake 50 minutes to 1 hour at 350º in loaf pan. Remove from oven and top while hot with mixed lemon juice and powdered sugar. Cool and slice with electric knife.(Jill Abegg)
