1 medium cabbage, shredded
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
7/8 cup sugar
1 cup vinegar
3/4 cup salad oil
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. celery seed

Directions:
Directions:
In bowl, alternate cabbage with layers of sliced onions. Top with sugar. Bring the vinegar, oil, sugar, salt, dry mustard and celery seed to a boil. Pour boiling mixture over the cabbage while hot. Cover & let stand at least 6 hours. May be refrigerated 2 - 3 weeks.
